Dire need for blood
Local stocks of blood are at a critically low level and all types are needed. In just one hour you can save up to three lives and become an unsung hero. You get 8,760 hours a year to use. Can you spare one to save a life? Giving blood is good for your health as it reduces the chances of heart attacks and strokes. Almost anyone in good health can donate and there is no upper age limit. The recipient lives, you feel great, and you become a hero to your kids and grandkids as you show them what true giving is all about. And, you’ll even get a free box of Girl Scout cookies. Here’s one of those rare true win-win-win situations in life. Don’t miss out. Give blood on Tuesday, July 14, from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Highway 17 and 8th Avenue North in North Myrtle Beach. Walk-ins welcome but having an appointment avoids delays. Call 249-1841 anytime.
