World Famous Blue Crab Festival is this weekend

The Little River Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center is excited to host the 35th Annual World Famous Blue Crab Festival this weekend May 14-15, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The festival will be bigger and better than ever with traditional beach music from the Holiday Band, Gary Lowder & Smokiní Hot, The Embers and Jim Quick & Coastline. Fresh seafood, including crabs, will be available by the local restaurants. More than 270 vendors will descend on the historic waterfront with arts and crafts, unique gifts and a business expo. There will also be an area just for the kids with activities and rides.
Festival weekend kicks off Friday night, May 13, with the Salt Air Jam at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex. This concert, featuring Jim Quick & Coastline and the Tim Clark Band, benefits Cystic Fibrosis.
Avoid the congestion on Highway 17 and park in the satellite parking lots with free shuttle to the festival. Arrive in style on the Intracoastal Waterwy via the SeaScreamer water taxi from Harbourgate Marina.
Admission to the festival is $5 per day, children 12 and under are free. This is a pet free event. Only working service animals with their handlers will be admitted.
