GFWC Purses with Purpose charity coming in April

Posted on Feb 16, 2017

GFWC North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club will once again host a fun evening for charity on Wednesday, April 19, at 6 p.m. at the Marina Inn Grande Dunes.
The club is happy to announce that Martin Heat and Air is returning as this year’s title sponsor. Martin Heat and Air services and installs heating and air conditioning systems throughout Horry County.
Event chairperson, Jeri McCumbee, tells us, “This is our fifth year and it’s always great fun. It’s a very entertaining evening with handsome male models showcasing gorgeous designer purses contributed by celebrities and women in our community. Some of the organizations we donate to also contribute purses. Last year was our most successful yet. We are thrilled to have Martin Heat and Air back as our title sponsor for 2017. We also have Elliott Realty, Litus Properties, CENTURY 21 Thomas, WPDE, the North Myrtle Beach Chamber Foundation, CENTURY 21 Boling, Grand Strand Magazine, Sandhills Bank, Anderson Insurance Associates, Access Medical and the North Myrtle Beach Times returning at top sponsorship levels. And we’d love to have more. Last year the money we raised was distributed to other charities. Our club, through this event, is able to support organizations such as the North Strand Housing Shelter, Helping Hands, Angie’s Day, Girl Scouts, the Center for Women, just to name a few. We also gave four $1,000 scholarships to North Myrtle Beach High School students last year. So we hope everyone will come out, have some fun and help us raise some monies for our community. And it’s not too late to get on the sponsorship bandwagon!”
