North Myrtle Beach city employees were honored during a ceremony at the Employee Appreciation Picnic
At a ceremony held during the City of North Myrtle Beach Employee Appreciation Picnic last Thursday, the North Myrtle Beach Chamber named the City of North Myrtle Beach and the city’s employees as the November Business of the Month.
Cheryl Kilday, president and CEO of the Chamber, said, “The Chamber is honored to be able to recognize the employees of the City of North Myrtle Beach for their efforts during Hurricane Florence and in the flooding that followed. The city employees went above and beyond to make sure the citizens of our community remained safe during the storm. They worked tirelessly to make sure the debris was removed from our streets and we were ready to welcome our visitors back quickly.”
“We appreciate the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce recognizing the hard work that city employees put in prior to, during and following the hurricane,” said North Myrtle Beach Mayor Marilyn Hatley. “Our employees are a very dedicated group of people and it’s nice to see them get this well-deserved public recognition.”
Each month the Chamber of Commerce recognizes an area business for their contributions to our community. To become a member of the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Visitor’s Bureau call 843-281-2662 or visit their website at www.northmyrtlebeachchamber.com.
