The Kiwanis Club of North Myrtle Beach–Little River hosted a beach-themed dance party for 27 members of the Aktion Club on Wednesday, January 21, at Boulineau’s. Aktion Club is a Kiwanis service leadership program for adults ages 18 and older with intellectual and physical disabilities and meets the third Wednesday of each month from 4 to 5 p.m. in Cherry Grove at Boulineau’s in the upstairs meeting room.
Co-advisors Lee Gallowe and Susan Jones led the fun alongside Aktion Club President Julian Sullivan and North Myrtle Beach High School Key Club President Katlyn Sanchez. Pizza, cupcakes, balloon bopping, hula dancers and nonstop dancing filled the afternoon as Kiwanian Don Helmey played beach music on guitar, keeping everyone on the dance floor.
It was a joyful celebration of friendship, inclusion and the Kiwanis family—truly a great day for all.
