Boys soccer 7-0 after wins over Conway, Socastee

The NMB varsity boys soccer team continued their promising season with two more region wins in last week’s matches.

The Chiefs beat Conway at home on Tuesday 2-0 with two first half goals by Cristhian Vasquez and Jen Carlo Hernandez Sanchez. Joshua Sanchez and Preston Taylor assisted on those goals. Tomas Arroyo had seven saves in the match.

The Chiefs traveled to Socastee last Friday and played the Braves to a 0-0 tie score. The match was settled with penalty kicks. The Chiefs got the win on a 4-2 score on penalty kicks. Cristiano Meono, Jose Carpio, Joshua Sanchez and Rowan Smith accounted for the Chiefs win on PKGs.

Arroyo had four saves and four PKA saves in the match. The Chiefs have two matches this week, against Carolina Forest and St. James.
