May 17-23 proclaimed as National Public Works Week in City of NMB

During the Monday, May 18, North Myrtle Beach City Council meeting, Mayor J Baldwin, along with City Council, proclaimed May 17-23 as National Public Works Week in the City of North Myrtle Beach and encouraged all residents to recognize and thank the City’s Public Works Department whose efforts help keep our community running smoothly each and every day.

The Public Works team provides essential services that support the health, safety and quality of life for residents and visitors. Not only do they maintain and improve the city’s infrastructure and services, but they play a critical role in emergency response and recovery efforts, helping our community prepare for, respond to and recover from natural disasters and other emergencies.

Dana Hamilton, Interim Public Works Director, accepted the proclamation on behalf of the Department. “On behalf of the Public Works Department, thank you to Mayor Baldwin and City Council for this recognition and thank you to our dedicated team members whose hard work and commitment make a difference in our community every day,” said Hamilton.

The City of North Myrtle Beach proudly recognizes and appreciates the hardworking employees of the Public Works Department for their continued dedication and service to the community.
