Local Pilot Club recognized by city

By Lauren Jessie

During the Monday, May 18, North Myrtle Beach City Council meeting, Mayor J Baldwin, along with City Council, recognized and honored the North Myrtle Beach Pilot Club for 31 years of outstanding service, dedication and contributions to the community and extended sincere gratitude for their continued commitment to improving the lives of residents and visitors alike.

The Pilot Club’s mission is to promote awareness, prevention and support for brain-related disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, Traumatic Brain Injuries and Autism, improving the quality of life for individuals and families impacted by these conditions.

They have demonstrated an enduring commitment to accessibility and inclusion by donating to the city handicap-accessible beach wheelchairs for use by residents and visitors in North Myrtle Beach, helping ensure that all individuals can enjoy the beauty of our coastline.

The city recognizes and appreciates the compassion, leadership and service demonstrated by the members of the North Myrtle Beach Pilot Club over the past three decades.
