Aquatic center raises money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center staff presented a check to Caring In Our Lifetime for $11,270.51. The money was raised to provide funds for those fighting against breast cancer by covering medical expenses.

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, the staff at North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center presented a check of $11,270.51 to the sponsors and advocates of Caring In Our Lifetime.

Throughout the month of October, the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center raised money through multiple Breast Cancer Awareness events for Caring In Our Lifetime.

Caring in Our Lifetime is dedicated to raising funds and providing financial assistance with medical expenses to individuals in Horry and Georgetown Counties who are affected by breast cancer.

The city is grateful to have people who care about the health of residents now and in the future. A huge thank you to everyone who participated throughout the month of October to spread awareness and raise money for those fighting.
