Coastal Carolina University hosted the 2026 Banana Ball World Tour on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, at Springs Brooks Stadium in Conway.
The event was completely sold out, selling 5,500 tickets.
The Party Animals and the Loco Beach Coconuts faced off, with the Coconuts coming out on top with a final score of 4-3.
Banana Ball has quickly grown into a popular form of entertainment nationwide in recent years.
What makes it unique is its distinctive rules, which differ from traditional baseball—such as a scoring system based on points per inning, a ban on bunting and mound visits, a strict time limit for games, and even a rule where a batter is ruled out if a fan catches a foul ball.
The City of Conway is presenting the games and unanimously approved $42,000 in funding to help bring Banana Ball to Springs Brooks Stadium at CCU.
The university requested the funding through the city’s Economic Development Grant program, which is supported by general fund revenues.
