During the Monday, August 18, North Myrtle Beach City Council Meeting, Mayor Pro Tem J. Baldwin, along with North Myrtle Beach City Council, proclaimed September 17-23, 2025, as Constitution Week.
The city encourages all residents to appreciate and understand the importance of the United States Constitution to our way of life, our freedom and the rights and duties each of us has as a citizen of South Carolina and the United States of America.
Wednesday, September 17, 2025, marks the 238th anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention.
This anniversary provides every citizen of South Carolina and our nation a moment to reflect on the blessings of liberty and to remember the sacrifices of our Founding Fathers who secured these blessings and entrusted the torch of liberty to succeeding generations.
