
Fenna Hollo came in first place in the girls 5000-meter race last Wednesday at the Horry County championship meet.

Fenna Hollo continued her domination of Horry County cross country races this fall as she won the girls 5000-meter race at the Horry County Championship meet last Wednesday at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex.
Hollo is a freshman member of the North Myrtle Beach Lady Chiefs cross country team and has literally run away with the title of Horry County’s best female runner in this year’s meets.
Hollo won the race with a time of 19:21, easily beating Socastee’s sophomore runner Layla Holladay with a time of 19:57.
The Lady Chiefs team had stiff competition in the county championship this year. St. James won the team event with 41 points. Myrtle Beach was second with 71 points. Socastee came in third with 77 points and North Myrtle Beach took fourth with 81 points.
Other Chiefs finishers included Robyn Walsh with a seventh-place run, Ravyn Walsh who was eleventh, Lane Tuite, thirty-fourth and Mandy Davis, thirty-seventh.
The Chiefs boys team finished in seventh place in the meet. Jeremani Forant-Bernard was the top finisher in twenty-sixth place. Parker Caugh came in twenty-ninth, Matthew Parish thirty-seventh, Cale Hylton thirty-ninth and Christopher Hardee forty-first.
Conway’s boys team took first place with 30 points. Green Sea Floyds was second with fifty-eight points and St. James was third with sixty-three points.
The region 6-5A meet will also be held at the NMB Sports Complex on Wednesday, October 29.
