North Myrtle Beach Times Serving our Community and the Grand Strand for over 50 years

The Knights of Columbus, Council 7122, from Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church recently organized a Basketball Free Throw Contest, shining a spotlight on local talent. The contest was held at North Myrtle Beach Middle School on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
With the results of the event, the following individuals emerged as first place winners: Girls Age 9-11, Emma Ferguson; Boys Age 9-11, Joel Haynes; Girls Age 12-14, Elinor Stancil; Boys Age 12-14, Shamar Bryant.
Under the guidance of co-chairmen, Renzo Munno and John Earnest, congratulations were extended to these student athletes for their outstanding achievements.
There were fourteen participants in all. Co-Chairman Munno thanked all the participants, parents and volunteers for the event. A special thanks go to Josh Knab of North Myrtle Beach Middle School.
The excitement continues as the district level of competition is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, at 1p.m. at North Myrtle Beach Middle School.
This event promises to be a thrilling spectacle, attracting participants and spectators alike to witness the talent and competitive spirit that characterize the Knights of Columbus Basketball Free Throw Contest.
