During the Monday, September 15, North Myrtle Beach City Council meeting, Mayor Pro Tem J. Baldwin proclaimed Saturday, September 27, 2025, as “GFWC North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club International Day of Service” and encouraged all members of our community in North Myrtle Beach and Horry County to support the fight against domestic and sexual violence in all its forms.

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs International Day of Service unites all GFWC clubs in collective service to address areas of critical need, raise public awareness and inspire action through community-based projects.

The GFWC North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club will raise awareness during the Annual Irish Italian International Festival on Saturday, September 27, 2025, and again at their 5th annual “What a Difference a Mile Makes” walk on October 18, 2025, to shed light on domestic and sexual violence, teen dating violence, human trafficking and elder abuse.

The GFWC North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club stands in solidarity with GFWC clubs across South Carolina, the nation and the world in their mission to eradicate domestic and sexual violence.
