On Thursday, October 30, the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center celebrated their 20th anniversary. The annual joining fee has been waived until Saturday, November 15, 2025.

Local Aquatic and Fitness Center holds 20th Anniversary Ceremony

Mayor Marilyn Hatley, city council, members and staff came together on Thursday, October 30, at 1:30 p.m. to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center.

It’s been 20 years of growth and continued success for the Aquatic and Fitness Center, promoting health, wellness and friendship for over two decades. It’s been the goal of the Aquatic and Fitness Center to prosper in a way that invites its members and guests to enjoy fitness, self-care and a place to go where wellness meets community, comfortability and friendship.

Offering over 100 plus fitness classes per week, personal training, swim lessons and kids programming the Aquatics and Fitness Center is a place for everyone in the family.

In addition to the celebration, the Aquatic and Fitness Center has also offered a 20th Anniversary Special from Monday, November 3, through Saturday, November 15. During this time, the annual joining fee will be waived for new annual memberships. It’s the perfect opportunity to become part of the Aquatic and Fitness Center community and start your journey toward health and wellness with them.

As part of the celebration, Director of Parks and Recreation, Matt Gibbons, spoke on the amount of growth that the center has had over the years. City Manager Ryan Fabbri shared his own personal experience with the Aquatic and Fitness Center. Mayor Marilyn Hatley along with retired AFC Director Melinda Chappell spoke on how it feels to see the dream to reality happen today.
