Loris Garden Club members met on the chilly, windy morning of Thursday, Oct. 9, with 50 lovely yellow mums to plant around Loris, as they have been doing for many years prior to the Loris Bog-Off Festival, on Saturday, Oct. 18.
The group met at Loris Garden Club Heniford Memorial MiniPark- Blue Star Marker located on Highway 9B East, to clean the area and plant mums. They met again at the recently redesigned and dedicated Thelma Suggs Memorial Butterfly Garden Blue Star Marker located at the Loris Legion Hut on Highway 9W B which was also cleaned and planted with mums.
Planting mums and cleaning were also done at the Loris Nature Park where the club members developed and maintain an area beside the Dog Park. Loris Garden Club maintains the front planter at the Loris Library which is now filled with yellow mums and pansies.
Loris Garden Club‘s members are dedicated to helping maintain and preserve our city’s beauty.
