The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has begun bridge repair work on SC 9 Northbound over US 17 starting on Sunday, October 12. This project will require nighttime lane closures that may impact residents and visitors traveling through the North Myrtle Beach area.
Work is scheduled to take place Sunday, October 12, through Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through the end of October. During this time, SC 9 Northbound will be closed and a detour route will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. The Southbound lanes of SC 9 will remain open.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution, reduce speed and remain alert when traveling near the work zone.
The City of North Myrtle Beach appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as SCDOT performs these necessary bridge repairs.
