The North Myrtle Beach City Council held a special called meeting and workshop on Monday, August 4, at 2 p.m. at North Myrtle Beach City Hall.
There was one item on the business agenda:
Motion to appoint: Three appointments to the Municipal Election Commission (APPROVED).
There was one item on the workshop agenda:
A discussion regarding amendments to Chapter 23, Zoning, of the Code of Ordinances of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, addressing the display of outdoor merchandise.
Workshop discussion summary:
Staff recommended removing “hammocks and other merchandise made to be used outside” from the current ordinance, as well as adding grills as an exemption. Included in the ordinance revisions will be the definition of frontage to be calculated as the primary street for lots on corners.
