The North Myrtle Beach Tree Board recognizes the magnificent live oaks (Quercus Virginianas) at Boardwalk Billy’s located at 1407 13th Avenue North as the February Tree(s) of the Month.

Boardwalk Billy’s manager, Bobby Stevens, is proud of the trees on the property and appreciates how much shade and atmosphere they add.  Patrons enjoy the trees and children play in the sandy area beneath the largest tree.

Live oaks are Southern iconic native trees known for their longevity and sprawling branches. They require extensive room to grow and are tolerant of coastal winds, salt spray, and sandy soils. They can live to be hundreds of years old.
