Out of the Ark visited the Green Sea Library on Monday, July 21, to share a variety of fascinating wildlife to help educate visitors about wildlife.
The branch manager of the library, Melissa Shenk, reported that both children and adults were excited to interact with and touch a baby alligator, snake, hedgehog, and various other small animals. This engaging experience ignited curiosity and enthusiasm across all age groups.
Founded in 2012, Out of the Ark aims to educate individuals of all ages about wildlife and to promote global conservation initiatives. This organization is veteran-owned and operated, providing a distinctive and remarkable wildlife experience through their Out of the Ark Educational Animal Shows. These shows inspire attendees to protect and conserve wildlife by allowing them to engage closely with animal ambassadors and learn about them through hands-on, interactive presentations. They organize parties, scouting events, and school assemblies, creating an exhilarating and informative experience for all participants.
Their goal is to promote conservation through engaging education, allowing people to connect with animals while learning about their histories and habitats.
Out of the Ark employs knowledgeable herpetologists, marine biologists, environmental scientists, and wildlife conservationists. The animals are not merely entertainers; they serve as esteemed representatives of their species and the natural environments they symbolize. Each animal ambassador undergoes training to guarantee their comfort and adaptability in interactive educational settings. Out of the Ark caters to the Grand Strand and nearby regions. “Out of the Ark turned a summer reading program into an extraordinary encounter with nature,” said Shenk, “Kids and adults alike were wide-eyed with wonder.”
On Monday, July 28, the Green Sea Library will have a Color War. Shenk explained a color war is a high-energy game of tag using a colorful twist. It is inspired by color runs where participants are doused with colorful powder.
On Monday, August 4, they will hold their end of summer celebration and awards for the children who have attended events at the library this summer.
“We will continue having our Wednesday movie nights on Wednesdays through Wednesday, August 13.” shared Shenk, “come out and visit for a fun time.”
Out of the Ark will continue visiting libraries throughout the district over the next week, spreading smiles and knowledge wherever they go.
