The North Myrtle Beach High School boys and girls track teams won their home meet on Wednesday, March 25, at The Hank track facilities. They beat Loris and Aynor in the three-team competition.
The boys team scored 99.5 points for first place. Aynor had 50 points and Loris had 39.5 points. The girls won with 97.5 points. Aynor was second with 42.5 points and Loris finished with 30 points.
The Chiefs finished 1-2-3 in the 100 meter dash. Reo Stevenson, Jonathan Evans and Jayden Wilson were the top three. Loris’ Kenny King won the 200 meter dash. The 400 meter run was won by the Chiefs Jerell Bellamy. Graham Brycen from Loris was second and Jordan Camren took third for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs Todd Braxton was first and Hayes Maximus third for the Chiefs in the 800 meter run. Dawson Wisely won the 1600 meter run and Nick Davis was first for the Chiefs in the 3200 meter run.
Jerell Bellamy was first and Primere Lewis second in the 110 meter hurdles. Ny’Ray Hannah and Braden Pagan were first and second in the 400 meter hurdles. The Chiefs 4×100 meter relay team was first with Loris second. The same results followed in the 4×400 and 4×800 meter races.
Fabian Bethea from Loris won the high jump. Chiefs Primere Lewis and Norvion Finklea were second and third. Dylan Kempf won the pole vault. Jayden Anderson from Loris won the long jump and Bricey Gore was second. Anderson also won the triple jump. Ny’Ray Hannah and Finklea were second and third.
Aynor’s Lucas Ortiz won the shot put. Nigel Vereen was second for NMB. Roston Richardson from Aynor took the discus, and Nigel Vereen was second. Kaleb Menefee won the javelin for Aynor.
In the girls competition Laquashia Hardee from Loris won both the100 and 200 meter dashes. Malaysia Batten was third for the Lady Chiefs in the 100 and Halle Morris second in the 200. Madison Vereen won the 400 meter run. Kylie Livingston was third for the Chiefs.
Fenna Hollo, Aleha Lang and Lucy Stalvey were 1-2-3 in the 800 meter run. Robyn Walsh won the 1600 meter run and Ravyn Walsh won the 3200 meter run. Israfel Thomason won the 100 meter hurdles. Navaeh Smith from Aynor was second and Katy Wright from Loris took third.
The Chiefs Halle Morris and Zoe Mandley were first and second in the 400 meter hurdles. The Chiefs took first in the 4×100 and 4×400 meter races. Loris was second in both races. Zoe Mandley and Israfel Thomason were first and second in the high jump for the Chiefs.
Alexandra Hines won the pole vault and Sophie Hayes was third for the Chiefs. Aynor’s Terianna Richardson won the long jump with NMB’s Brandi Gore second and Loris’ Faith Bellamy third.
Miya Clarke won the shot put. Aynor’s Kailyn White was second and Chiefs Khamani Owens was third. Clarke won the discus and Adrianna Mackey took second for the Chiefs. Robyn Walsh and Clara Cloninger were first and second in the javelin.
The next meets for the Chiefs track teams are April 1st at Conway and April 2-4 at the Beach Invitational at Myrtle Beach High School.
