Driftwood Garden Club members enjoyed a fabulous lunch of salad and pizza at the home of Patricia Veltri for their November meeting. Patricia, a former flower shop owner, demonstrated how to make floral arrangements. She began by layering greenery to create a base. She then demonstrated the “3-5-8 rule” in floristry as a guideline for creating a balanced bouquet with three types of focal flowers, five stems of medium flowers and eight stems of filler flowers. This ratio helps create a visually pleasing arrangement by ensuring a harmonious combination of floral elements.

Also for the meeting, the group brought various hygiene products to donate to the North Myrtle Beach Police Department. They use these items for victims of domestic violence and the homeless. Members Babs Johnson, Jeanette Bell and Jill Roman delivered the bags to the North Myrtle Beach Police Department.
