A memory. Coach Jenn Loeswick talks to her volleyball team following their hard-fought 3-2 victory over Lucy Beckham for the Lower State Championship. It was the last time the team joined arms in a victory celebration. The moment will always be there for them. They will always be that team in that moment listening to their coach celebrate their performance. Coach Jenn Loeswick was disappointed about the loss to Woodmont but had some final thoughts on her team. “I am so proud of my team. This was just a wonderful group of girls. They all supported each other, they worked hard, they were great teammates. And it all showed on the court. They have been playing for each other and competing. Clara, Katlyn and Lilly did a phenomenal job as our passing trio this season and were the heart of making our team go. We talked about grit, resilience and competing all season and that’s what they did every step of the way. I couldn’t be prouder.” Loeswick concluded.

The North Myrtle Beach High School varsity volleyball team’s season ended with the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. The victory was the 3-2 win over Lucy Beckham at home to claim the 5A Division II Lower State Championship.
This photo was taken after the Chiefs had won their match over the Bengals and they gathered together with their coach Jenn Loeswick. It turned out to be the last time the team could join arms in a victory celebration and listen to their coach enjoy that moment with them.
However, the memory of that special moment will always remain with them. They will always be that team in that moment after winning the lower state and enjoying that victory with their coach.
The agony of defeat came just days later at Dreher High School when Woodmont beat the Chiefs 3-2 in an amazing, hard-fought state championship match. Despite that loss, the words of coach Loeswick below sum up her love for her team despite the loss.
