The 9th Annual Ocean Drive Beach Music Festival is set to bring a full day of live beach music, dancing, and good vibes to downtown North Myrtle Beach on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Gates open at 10 a.m. for this popular outdoor event, which takes place on the stage in the parking lot between Main Street and First Avenue South—within easy walking distance of the Ocean Drive Beach and Golf Resort and the iconic Ocean Drive area.
This year’s lineup features three powerhouse acts known for delivering high-energy performances and Carolina beach music classics:
Band of Oz – Celebrating nearly 60 years of smooth harmonies and beach music favorites. This eight-piece band is a staple at coastal festivals.
Jim Quick & Coastline – The high-energy “swamp soul” outfit led by the charismatic Jim Quick, is guaranteed to get the crowd dancing with their infectious grooves and witty stage presence.
The Commodores (headliners) – The legendary funk and R&B icons behind timeless hits like “Brick House,” “Easy,” and “Three Times a Lady,” is a must see.
Attendees can expect a full day of continuous music and beach shag dancing in the laid-back, welcoming atmosphere that has made the Ocean Drive Beach Music Festival a beloved annual tradition. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own coolers (no glass), while food will be available for purchase at OD Arcade and Ducks.
“Beach music is at the heart of North Myrtle Beach’s culture, and this festival celebrates everything that makes Ocean Drive special,” said event organizers. “We’re thrilled to welcome back longtime favorites Band of Oz and Jim Quick & Coastline, along with the iconic Commodores for what promises to be one of our biggest and best years yet.”
