Over the weekend of November 15–16, six all-star teams from the City of North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation Department competed in their respective South Carolina Athletic Programs (SCAP) district tournaments. The competing teams included 10U, 12U and 15U co-ed soccer, as well as 10U, 12U and 14U volleyball. Soccer teams traveled to Sumter, while volleyball teams competed in Johnsonville.

In soccer action, the 10U team opened its single-elimination tournament with an impressive 10–0 win before falling 3–0 in the second round. The 12U squad delivered some of the most dramatic moments of the weekend. After a 2–2 tie in regulation during their first match, the team prevailed in penalty kicks, winning 4–1. Their second game mirrored the first, ending in a tie and sending the teams into another tense PK round. North Myrtle Beach ultimately advanced with a 4–3 victory after six rounds of kicks, earning a spot in the championship. The team battled hard but ultimately fell 2–1, finishing as the Eastern District Runner-Up.

The 15U soccer team also put on an impressive showing. After winning their first match, they advanced to the championship game against Marion. Tied 1–1 at halftime, the Chiefs surged ahead in the second half to secure the title of SCAP Eastern District Champions. The team now heads to the State Tournament in Florence on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

On the volleyball courts, it was a standout year for the newly formed 10U all-star team. Competing for the first time, the team made history by winning its inaugural set 25–19—a promising achievement for the young program. Though they did not advance further, coaches and parents alike say the future looks bright for the blossoming league.

The 12U volleyball team dominated Saturday’s matches, going 2–0 with straight-set victories over Dillon and Marlboro County. Returning Sunday, the team defeated Johnsonville 2–0 in the undefeated bracket, sending them to the championship game. Despite a strong run, the team finished as the Eastern District Runner-Up.

Rounding out the weekend, the 14U volleyball team faced Florence in a best-of-three series Saturday night. North Myrtle Beach swept both sets 2–0, earning their place in the State Championships. They competed in Pickens on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Overall, the weekend showcased the depth of talent within North Myrtle Beach’s youth athletic programs, with multiple teams earning district titles, runner-up finishes and state tournament berths.
