The Knights of Columbus Council 7122 and the Columbiettes 7122 of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the parishioners, neighbors, friends and visitors who attended the monthly Community Breakfast at the St. John Center on Sunday, August 17, 2025. As always, the funds provide support for the missionary work for the priest and specifically Father Patrick Balogun in Nigeria.

The area is under constant attack for those attempting to spread the faith of Christianity in the country. Many Catholic Priests have been captured and killed by Islamist groups when ransom was not paid to the Radicalized Fuani Militants.

The breakfast was especially gratifying this month as Father Patrick was in attendance. He previously served the congregation of Our Lady Star of the Sea and the North Myrtle Beach community in 2018 and 2019 and returns each year for a visit to thank the congregation and community for their prayers and support.
