

Jeremani Forant-Bernard finishes twelfth in last Wednesday’s cross country home meet at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex. The Lady Chiefs won the 5K meet.

The North Myrtle Beach cross country teams held a home meet last Wednesday at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex and the Lady Chiefs won. The girls finished first with 23 points. Socastee was second with 45 points and Myrtle Beach took third with 64 points.
The Lady Chiefs had four of the first six runners cross the finish line with Fenna Hollo, the number one finisher. Aleha Lang was third, Robyn Walsh fourth, Ravyn Walsh sixth and Lucy Stalvey was ninth.
The Chiefs boys team finished fifth out of six teams competing. Conway runners took three of the first four positions and won easily. Jeremani Forant-Bernard was the top Chief finisher in the boys race in twelfth place.
It was also Senior Night at the race and Mandy Davis and Ciera Zink were the only two seniors to be honored.
The cross country teams had a scheduled meet at Socastee Wednesday and then are slated to compete in the Great American XC Festival this Saturday in Cary, N.C.
