Get ready to climb, explore, and discover at the 8th Annual Touch-A-Truck event hosted by the North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation Department. This exciting, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex. Admission is free, and everyone is invited to join in the fun.
Touch-A-Truck gives children a unique, hands-on opportunity to explore more than 50 larger-than-life vehicles and pieces of equipment in a safe and engaging environment. From North Myrtle Beach Police, Fire, and Public Works to trucks and machinery from local businesses and organizations, kids can climb aboard, honk horns, sound sirens, and get an up-close look at the vehicles that help keep the community running.
Representatives from each participating organization will be on-site to provide interactive “tours,” offering children a behind-the-scenes look at how the vehicles operate and the important roles they play every day.
“This event continues to grow each year because it sparks curiosity and excitement in kids of all ages,” said Angel Sylvester, Special Events Manager for North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation. “It’s more than just fun—it’s an opportunity for children to connect with the people and careers that make a difference in our community while creating lasting family memories.”
In addition to the vehicles, families can enjoy a variety of activities including face painting, rock wall climbing, free treats and more. Touch-A-Truck blends education and entertainment, making it a can’t-miss event for the whole family.
