North Myrtle Beach and local community veterans were honored on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in a Veterans Day presentation at Holy Trinity Catholic School. The presentation included song, poetry and applauding the veterans in attendance as well as moments of silence for our POW/MIA fallen.
The performers, students of Holy Trinity Catholic School from grades K3 to 5th grade, presented patriotic songs honoring all of the armed services. The audience, filled with members from all the military branches, responded with applause as those honored stood when their branch was called. Many in attendance were in tears as the students’ hard work, practice and dedication to them was apparent.
Mrs. Luzzo, principal of Holy Trinity Catholic School, welcomed the pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church for opening prayers, and at the finale applauded the support of Mr. Warren, who attended each practice and through his support and that of the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus for providing the POW/MIA Man table.
