The North Myrtle Beach High School swim teams continued their successful year in the pool as the boys team won first place and the girls team took second place in last weekend’s Socastee Invitational swim meet held at Coastal Carolina.
Thirteen teams competed in the meet, with 205 swimmers in the water for a variety of competitions. The Lady Chiefs were second out of 11 teams. Coach Kristen Henley was happy about the results and looking forward to the last weeks of competition.
“Our teams continued to deliver some fast swims and personal records this season. It was a great day for both of our teams. With one regular season meet left this coming weekend hosted by Myrtle Beach, our Chiefs are getting ready for the region 6-5A meet on Saturday, October 4. We are hoping for the Chiefs to keep working toward a big finish at that meet and some great results at the state competition,” Henley said.
