During the Monday, February 16, North Myrtle Beach City Council meeting, three employees were recognized for their hard work and commitment to the city.
The first award was presented to Joseph Keister by North Myrtle Beach Police Chief Dana Crowell.
“He is a jack of all trades,” said Crowell. “He does a little bit of everything. You may see him out front of a city council meeting, you may see him teaching the Citizens Academy, or you may see him out on Main Street with his canines. He just does a little bit of everything.”

Crowell stated that “The children’s behavior in the schools has significantly increased because the kids want to be a part of the program. Their behavior, grades, attendance, not bullying and being good neighbors has significantly increased.”
The second employee to be recognized was Suzanne Pritchard.
Pritchard, who is the North Myrtle Beach assistant planning and development director, was presented her plaque by Ryan Fabbri.
“I’m only as successful as the people that I rely on daily,” said Fabbri. “Rarely a day goes by where I do not have to stop by Suzanne’s office or call her or email her because she has such a wealth knowledge of everything it takes to operate the city.” Fabbri continued by stating “I am so grateful for having her on my team and having her as somebody that I can rely on to make sure I can do my job to the best of my ability.”
Pritchard then had the honor of presenting the final plaque to Elton Farmer. “This award is for who he is as a person and how he shows up at our department every day. He’s the friendliest person here at city hall,” said Pritchard. “He also has great intuition. He’s really just the best. He’s a rock that we depend on every day and we thank him and appreciate so much everything he does.”
