August Tree of Month chosen by board

The North Myrtle Beach Tree Board recognizes a Live Oak (Querous Virginiana) located at Century 21 Thomas Realty on Sea Mountain Highway in the Cherry Grove section of North Myrtle Beach as the August Tree of the Month.

Magnificent Live Oaks are native to southeastern United States and adorn public and private properties all throughout North Myrtle Beach. They retain their green leaves nearly all year, shedding them in the spring when new leaves emerge. Deep roots help Live Oaks resist winds, even through hurricanes.
