On Tuesday, February 20, members of the GFWC–North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club – Civic Engagement Committee purchased and prepared the weekly hot meal provided by Hope’s Kitchen. They also had the honor of being able to serve attendees and help in many other facets as well as provide a cash donation.
Hope’s Kitchen provides a hot meal every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. for community members in need. Prior to the meal, a host of other services are provided including showers, haircuts, a food pantry, medical/dental/vision resources, a Navigation Center to connect guests to community resources, live music and an inspirational message. This very important nonprofit operates out of Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church at 410 6th Avenue South in North Myrtle Beach but is entirely self-funded through donations and volunteer work.
