Girls lacrosse opens season with 16-0 win

The North Myrtle Beach High School Lady Chiefs lacrosse team opened their spring schedule with a 16-0 victory over visiting West Ashley Monday night at The Hank.

The Chiefs scored multiple goals in all four quarters as they kept the visiting Wildcats on defense all night, recovered most of the loose balls and had six different players score in the shutout.

The Chiefs opened the game with three goals in the first quarter, four more in the second quarter, five goals in the third and four goals in the fourth quarter with a running clock.

Freshman Aryanna Kipybida led the Chiefs with seven goals and two assists. Junior Jasmine Watts had two goals and two assists. Senior Sara Mai also had two goals and three  assists. Senior Oaklee Castle scored three goals, sophomore Riley Denley one goal and senior Camden Cavilini scored one goal.

Seniors McKenna Dailey and Jaelyn Faucher each had an assist.

The Lady Chiefs have an away game Friday at South Brunswick before starting their region schedule next Monday at Carolina Forest.
