On Memorial Day, Monday, May 25,  VFW Post 10804 partnered with Little River American Legion Post 186 to honor our fallen veterans. A memorial ceremony was conducted at the Veterans Memorial at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex.

Joining Post 10804 were the American Legion Patriot Riders and Rolling Thunder, the American Legion Honor Guard, the Local Knights of Columbus,  vocalist Marlisa Small who wowed everyone with her patriotic songs and the North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation crew. Colonel Jerry Jankoviak U.S. Army Reserve retired, Maryland State Police retired, CIA retired, was the guest speaker and reminded us of what Memorial Day is all about.

North Myrtle Beach Mayor J Baldwin also spoke on the importance of honoring our fallen veterans. He was accompanied by most members of the North Myrtle Beach City Council.

Branch of Service flags were raised as each flag was raised in conjunction with their branch-of-service fight song. A presentation of the three wreaths (Red, White, Blue) was conducted with members of the VFW and American Legion sharing the presentations.
