Free showing of movie Friday night at McLean

Everyone is invited to enjoy a free movie featuring An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (PG) on Friday, June 12, at McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach. The movie starts at 7 p.m. McLean Park is located at 93 Oak Drive in the Ocean Drive section.

Patrons and movie-goers are encouraged to bring their beach chair or a blanket to sit on. Concessions will be available from the North Myrtle Beach Lions Club.

The free movie is part of the North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation Department’s Movies at McLean series sponsored by HTC.

An American Tail Fievel Goes West is a story about the Mousekewitz family who leaves New York City for the Wild West, unaware they are being lured into a trap by a conniving cat named Cat R. Waul. The young mouse Fievel gets separated from his family but eventually teams up with a legendary canine lawman, Sheriff Wylie Burp, and his feline friend Tiger to thwart the villain’s sinister plans.
