Baldwin seeks re-election to Crescent Beach Ward

J.O. Baldwin is seeking re-election to the Crescent Beach council seat he has held for fifteen years.

Baldwin said, “I am eager to announce that I will be seeking re-election for the Crescent Beach District North Myrtle Beach Council Seat.

It has been an honor to serve on the North Myrtle Beach City Council for the past fifteen years and I appreciate the confidence you have placed in me. During this time there have been many accomplishments like maintaining the lowest property tax in Horry County and one of the lowest in the State of South Carolina.

City Council continues to make sure that the city’s work force is sufficient to provide proactive, results-oriented service to our residents, businesses and visitors, but not so large that employee tasks and jobs become redundant.

We have always managed to find that perfect balance, and it helps to keep property taxes and costs down for our taxpayers.

He added, while much has been done, there is still much to do. I pledge to continue to work hard to keep our taxes low, manage growth, improve our roads and beach accesses. I will do so by listening openly to the concerns of all our community members with the goal of building a better city, one that thrives economically and maintains that “small town family friendly” atmosphere that we all love about our city.

“I am extremely excited and enthusiastic about the future and it will be a great privilege to serve my community on City Council another four years. We live in a great city! Let’s work together to make it an even better place to live, work and play,” he concluded.
