Garden club attends sale

What a beautiful day for a few of Driftwood Garden Club members to venture out to Shallotte, N.C., to the annual Coastal Garden Club Plant Sale. They spent the morning with a group of lovely lady members of the Coastal Garden Club viewing and purchasing a huge variety of exquisite pollinators, perennials and annuals to plant at this perfect time of year. The Coastal Garden Club gardening experts were present to answer all their questions. They also had a festival with vendors selling beautiful arts and crafts, food trucks and very interesting exhibits and activities for families with children. The club plans to attend again next year.

After making several purchases they had lunch at Duffer’s Bar and Grill and dessert at Burney’s Sweet Shop, a must if you venture up that way.
