Kenneth Wesley Adkins

Kenneth Wesley Adkins, 93, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at his home in Florence.  Mr. Adkins was born on Dec. 30, 1926, in Sarcoxie, Mo., to the late Edison G. Adkins and the late Inez Capitola White Adkins. He served his country with courage, honor and dignity in the United States Navy during World War II. After World War II, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served in both Vietnam and Korea retiring with over 24 years of distinguished service. Mr. Adkins was a member of Living Water Baptist Church in Longs.

Survivors include his daughter, Darlene Gleason of Florence; three grandchildren, Tammy Skiva and husband Raymond, Larry W. Gleason and wife Tina and Daniel Gleason; five great-grandchildren, Joshua Gleason and wife Allie, Stephanie Gleason, Kitty Ayers and husband Aaron, Susan Jordan and Paula Osburn and husband John; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Adkins was predeceased by his wife, Beulah “Bea” Mae Russ Adkins.

Due to CDC regulations and the coronavirus only a limited amount of people will be allowed to attend the service. The family appreciates your prayers and support during this difficult time.
