Local performing icon Greg Rowles to open world-class dinner theatre

Greg Rowles, veteran performer and South Carolina Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame inductee, is returning to the big stage in Spring 2024. But not just any stage – “The Greg Rowles Dinner Theatre”. Greg Rowles and family hope to offer an entirely unique setting unlike anything Myrtle Beach has seen. Guests can expect this venue to feature world-class entertainment along with a fine dining experience reminiscent of the retro Vegas showroom style setting.

“I’m excited to be returning to a big, our own big stage, here in Myrtle Beach,” exclaimed Rowles. “I’ve been performing for 44 years professionally with half of that time happening right here along the Grand Strand so this just makes sense”.

In January 2022, Rowles left the Alabama Theatre in North Myrtle Beach after 22 seasons to expand his ventures in other venues not knowing where it would all lead. And it seems, his next big curtain call will be under the lights of his own stage, The Greg Rowles Dinner Theatre.

Renovation will begin soon on the complex that was once home to the Dixie Jubilee, and most recently serving as Valorous church. A Theatre will be resurrected once again to entertain and dine guests after a full scale remodel.

“Over the last year, Brandee, my wife, and I have received an overwhelming welcome from so many amazing people with an array of opportunities to play everywhere from north to south, in homes, restaurants, country clubs and more and we are so grateful,” said Rowles. “I’ve only ever dreamed of creating a one-of-a-kind dining and entertainment experience like this here in Myrtle Beach. Until now, that wasn’t possible until God brought all of the right people together to bring it to fruition.”

Greg Rowles was born to entertain. Since receiving his first guitar at the age of four, he has performed on stages large and small from Opryland to the Vatican and everything in between. In 1994, Rowles won the “Star Search Male Vocalist of the Year” title.

In 2000, Greg and his young family moved to Myrtle Beach where he was the Goodwill Ambassador and Master of Ceremonies for the Alabama Theatre in North Myrtle Beach for 22 seasons. In 2020, he was inducted into the South Carolina Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame along with receiving the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Carolina Country Music Association.
