McLeod welcomes new primary care provider

Dr. Deji Okuboye

McLeod Health welcomes Dr. Deji Okuboye to McLeod Primary Care North Myrtle Beach where she joins primary care physician, Dr. Donald Bartlett.

Dr. Okuboye is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive, patient-centered care at McLeod Primary Care North Myrtle Beach, located in North Myrtle Beach.

Dr. Okuboye brings extensive experience from working in a high-volume family medicine setting, delivering personalized care to a diverse patient population. While Dr. Okuboye treats a wide range of medical conditions, her clinical interests include diabetes management, hypertension, stoke prevention, COPD and congestive heart failure.

Dr. Okuboye graduated a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, and completed her residency training in Family Practice at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. Dr. Okuboye is Board-Certified in American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. She joins McLeod Health after 18 years of practicing family medicine in Taylorsville, North Carolina.

Inspired by a family of physicians, Dr. Okuboye knew from an early age that she wanted to pursue a career in medicine. “My parents would take me with them on their rounds,” said Dr. Okuboye. “My nature, I’m an educator, so primary care is where I found my calling. I take a hands-on, comprehensive approach with my patients.”
