The North Myrtle Beach High School wrestling team hosted eight teams last Saturday for the Chiefs Classic, “Brawl on the River”, at North Myrtle Beach gym and after a long day finished in second place behind Carolina Forest. North Myrtle Beach, Beaufort, North Charleston, Stratford, Loris, Waccamaw, Carolina Forest and Fairfield each wrestled four duals during the tournament, where individual matches earned points for the school’s team and eventually the final team winner. William L. Clauson, 82, of Longs died on Saturday,  Jan. 4, 2020 at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach. Born on Sept. 14, 1937 in Philadelphia, P.A., he was the son of the late William E. and Josephine Coakley Clauson. Donald Wayne Little, 90, of Longs went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020. Born in Sonora, Ohio on Oct. 1, 1929, he was the son of Earl Swank Little and Myrtle Mae Spragg–Little.  Brothers Dwight Little and Raymond Little and sister Virginia Mae Barr-Smith preceeded him in death.
