NMBHS seniors appreciate having graduation on their football field

By Ruben Lowman North Myrtle Beach seniors have the option to participate in an in-person graduation ceremony, including a group commencement that will take place on the high school football field. Students can choose between a socially-distanced group ceremony with up to two guests, or an individualized ceremony including eight of their loved ones. The announcement came late last week, quickly following Horry County Schools’ confirmation that district principals would have the ability to choose how their graduations would be conducted. Loris High School students honored with Cruise on Main Street

LHS Students were honored with a Cruise on Main on Friday, May 15, from 8-11 p.m. with DJ Kyle Gore kicking up the music streamed into the speakers through town. Kaitlyn Courtney, Loris Bog-Off Festival Teen, the Loris Chamber of Commerce and the City of Loris coordinated the cruise giving the 2020 graduating seniors a night to remember since they missed their prom, sports, senior night and the events seniors hold dear to their hearts as they finish their 13th year of studies at the Loris schools.

HTC is proud to announce that Colby Gerald, a senior at Loris High School, is The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Roger Allen Cox Scholarship winner. Colby has been accepted to attend Southern Wesleyan University, where he plans to study music education. HTC partnered with a local produce company to deliver more than 400 pounds of fruits and vegetables to the Kingston Lake Education and Business Center in Loris on Thursday morning.
