The North Myrtle Beach Lady Chiefs lacrosse team won both of their games last week beating St. James 11- 4 in a region game and then winning 16-4 over non-region Waccamaw.
The Chiefs scoring against the Lady Sharks was led by Lexi Schmidt with 6 goals. Aryanna Kipybida, Ava Patel, Sydney McClannan, Jasmine Watts and Lainee Smith each scored one goal. Schmidt had two assists and Oaklee Castle had one assist for the Chiefs. Tyra Green saved four of eight shots on goal.
In their game at Waccamaw on Thursday, March 19, the Chiefs won 16-4. Kipybida and Castle scored five goals in the game. Schmidt scored two goals, while Tori Currie and Rylee Denley scored one goal. Ava Patel and Sydney McClannan had two assists. Tyra Green saved four of the eight shots on goal by the Warriors.
The Chiefs are 2-1 in the 6AAAAA region as they begin this week’s games at Socastee Monday and home tonight against first place Carolina Forest.
