Special vendors attend festival

An arts and crafts festival was held at the North Myrtle Beach Area Historical Museum on Saturday, December 6. About 200 people visited the festival where the vendors were adults with special needs who made the arts and crafts they sold. They were not charged any fees for displaying and selling their wares, so what they charged for the items was their profit. Regina was one of the vendors who made key fobs, earbud cases and jar openers. She sold almost all of her items.

The Columbiettes at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church sponsored the fair, and Grace Williams organized the details. “Twenty vendors participated in the event. Several vendors sold out what they brought,” said Grace Williams. “Christmas items sold out in record time.”

Besides what Regina brought, other items included stained glass, jewelry, ornaments, jeweled pens, Tootsie Pop holders, paintings and an array of other articles.
