It will be held on Thursday, Nov. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ernie’s Diner, Sunshine Pancake House located at 3944 Main Street in Loris. The OHCO program has been offering Thanksgiving dinners to the community for the past13 years. Lions head to Newberry for round 3 of playoffs

By Kaye Collins The Loris Lions (12-0) advance in the playoffs after taking down the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins at Heniford Field on Friday, Nov. 14, with a 56-20 win. Despite an impressive performance during the regular season the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins were unable to translate that success into their playoff game as the Lions leaned on a running game and their defensive team. Green Sea Historical Marker is revealed

By Kaye Collins Horry County’s newest historical marker underscores the significance of the Green Sea community. On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, the Horry County Historic Preservation Commission unveiled the Green Sea Historic Marker at the intersection of Green Sea Road and Mitchell Sea Road. The origins of the community date back to 1784, when William Norton was awarded 200 acres of land, which includes the location of the historical marker. Veterans Day program held at NMB Sports Complex
