Chamber to hold free annual Christmas event

The Little River Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center will be hosting the first annual Waterfront Winterland on Friday, Nov. 28, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

This will be a free, family-friendly event that brings the waterfront to life with twinkling lights, live entertainment and holiday cheer.

Experience the magic as a 15-foot live Christmas tree is lit and showcases over twenty beautifully decorated trees from local businesses.

Enjoy a cozy night of holiday fun with a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus you can snap your own festive photos with.

Watch the Christmas classic “Elf” on a large outdoor movie screen. Make sure to bring chairs and blankets.

Sip free hot chocolate, snack on popcorn and toast marshmallows over the fire pits.

Christmas Trees will be available for purchase from Booth Farms Christmas Tree Farm.

Enter through Crab Catchers parking lot and take a stroll through the Trail of Trees, glowing with color and creativity.

Each tree has a QR code — simply scan with your phone to vote for your favorite.

Voting is open during the event and online begins on Monday, December 1.

This year marks the beginning of a new community tradition that connects the Little River Waterfront to Little River Landing with a festive walkway of lighted trees.

After Sunday, December 21, each decorated tree will be gifted to a local family in need, spreading kindness and joy throughout the community.

Interested in decorating a tree or donating? Contact Wendy at 843-360-4209 for details.

Free parking can be found at Crab Catchers Parking Lot at 4474 Waterfront Avenue and at Little River Landing at 1522 Watson Avenue in Little River.
