During the Monday, June 1, North Myrtle Beach City Council meeting, Mayor J Baldwin, along with City Council, proclaimed Friday, June 5, 2026, as Lucy Buffett Day throughout North Myrtle Beach and encouraged all citizens to recognize and celebrate her contributions to our community, culture and hospitality industry.

Lucy Buffett is the founder of Lulu’s, a beloved family dining and entertainment destination known for its welcoming atmosphere, live music, coastal cuisine and commitment to creating joyful experiences for residents and visitors alike.

Lulu’s North Myrtle Beach has become an integral part of the North Myrtle Beach community, contributing to the local economy, supporting tourism, creating employment opportunities and enhancing the vibrant culture and hospitality for which our city is known.
