By Kaye Collins The Loris Lions Club has planned a Free Eye Screen for Ice Cream event for children aged 3 to 18 on Tuesday, August 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. This will take place at the State Theater located at 4149 Main Street in Loris. This plan has been drafted in conjunction with all participating municipalities and utility providers throughout the county. Every five years, Horry County updates its Hazard Mitigation Plan – a roadmap to help reduce the impact of disasters like hurricanes, floods, wildfires and severe storms.
