A big rivalry game last week against Myrtle Beach gave the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs boys soccer team plenty of lessons to learn, as they controlled the proceedings but failed to convert a few chances and saw the tide turn against them.

A brand new, free walking club is set to begin this week in Vereen Memorial Gardens at the very north end of Little River.

The course, a longtime locals’ favorite, will close on June 20, before expecting to re-open the following day, as they can continue to make additional major improvements to the club that has already seen a recently remodeled clubhouse and restaurant.

North Myrtle Beach City Council met on Monday, March 21, and passed first reading of an amendment to the Sandridge Tract agreement, as well as giving final approval to ordinances that ban fires on public beaches and will rezone Crescent Beach to allow more commercial development.
